He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust."

God's Promises - Assurance
"But Jesus said, 'The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.'" Luke 18:27
"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10b
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. God's Promises - Guidance
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

God's Promises - His love

Nor angles nor principalities nor powers,
Nor things present nor things to come,
Nor any other created thing,
Shall be able to separate us from the love of God
Which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39
"But God, who is rich in mercy,
Because of His great love with which He loved us,
Even when we were dead in our trespasses,
Made us alive together with Christ -
By grace you have been saved." Ephesians 2:4-5

God's Promises - Peace in Our Hearts
"Peace I leave with you,

Not as the world gives do I give to you.

God's Promises - Forgiveness
This list is not an exhaustive one,
just a taste of the beautiful thing called forgiveness.
The Lord so easily and delightfully forgives us,
the hard part for us is imitating His example.
I by no means am an expert at it. I am still a work in progress.
"But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
the chastisement for our peace was upon Him;
and by His stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned everyone to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53:5-6
"But now in Christ Jesus, you who sometimes were far off
have been brought near by the blood of Christ." Ephesians 2:13
"And you being dead in your trespasses
and the uncircumcision of your flesh,
He has made alive together with Him,
having forgiven you all trespasses,
having wiped out the handwriting of
requirements that was against us,
which was contrary to us." Colossians 2:13-14
"Jesus Himself bore our sins in His own body on a the tree,
that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness -
by whose stripes we were healed." 1 Peter 2:24

God's Promises - When We Diligently Seek Him
I have been overwhelmed with all of life's obligations for awhile.
Hence the lack of pictures or updates on here.
I didn't even finish last years "Picture of the Day"project.
This is me overwhelmed on a rough day and
realizing my older girls aren't even teenagers yet.. I need grace!
I thought I'd get back into blogging by typing out a list of scriptures
I received from a speaker of a conference I attended last year;
the conference was about being overwhelmed. (Perfect!)
I'll break it down into different posts with different subjects.
As I'm getting ready to type this list,
I have the prayer room playing and the line they are singing is:
"I press on to win the prize and I forget what lies behind.
I will get up again, get up again."
God's Promises - When We Diligently Seek Him
"His divine power has given to us all things
that pertain to life and godliness through the
knowledge of Him who called us by glory and
virtue by which have been given to us exceedingly
great and precious promises, that through these you
may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped
the corruption that is in the world through lust." 2 Peter 1:2-4
"Ask and it shall be given you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be
opened to you. For everyone who ask receives; and he who seeks finds; and
to him who knocks it will be opened." Matthew 7:11
"If you abide in Me, and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and
it shall be done for you." John 15:7

that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6
