Due to the very warm weather today Bobby wanted to take a last minute camping trip. I'm loving the spontaneity of this week!



We forgot glow sticks but the kids found a way to make colorful light.

Camping

This is the angry bird from our last camping trip that kept attacking our car.

We are packing up today and getting ready for another camping adventure! This time we are going with some friends. We are all very excited! The weather is a little on the cool side but we'll take it over 100 degrees any day.

I'm thinking about going "offline" for the month of May. I already took the iPad and Kindle away. I want this month to be focused on us, without any time wasting distractions.

So with that said, our month will be a tough one ending in taking another trip to Santa Fe, this time with the whole family, to spread the ashes of Bobby's dad over the mountains seen from the house he built. I hear it's a beautiful way to say goodbye.

Family Camping

Last weekend we enjoyed a night camping at Lake Sommerville. The spring weather was wonderful and the wildflowers were abundant and vibrant. I didn't want to leave. I enjoy simple life without connection to the outside world. It was a nice little escape with lots of play time. The kids are getting really good at throwing a frisbee. I love my family. :)

I'll have to break this post up into two parts. These are just cell phone pictures. I haven't uploaded from my camera yet.

The drive wasn't too long but they crashed on the way.  The quiet was nice.

I forgot to charge to my camera battery.  I was glad we had electricity.

It was nice to look around at the other campsites and see so many campfires.
