Day 67

Bobby started a new pergola project today.  The wind got really intense so he decided to work more another day, so we went out to one of our favorite TX BBQ places around, Dickey's.

We ate lunch in the car and when Trin, age 9, got out she had made this with the foil covering her food.

Gardening

We enjoyed the day planting flowers, bushes, and a tree!

My new favorite flowers! I could not stop looking at them!

Our new tree. We think it was called an Oklahoma redbud.

Our Crepe Myrtle, it's not new but I never got a picture of it. What is new in the picture is the Oklahoma Redbud behind the fence.

I love the trumpet like flowers on this bush.

Here's our vegetables for the year. Since we've gotten Nicklebee, our dog, the rabbits and other random hungry animals have stopped nibbling away at our veggies. We pulled a sugar snap pea off today!

Between the camera battery dying or a little someone hiding the camera cable I haven't been able to upload recent pictures. Here are some of our plants and garden :D

Something was hungry.

I probably take too many pictures of this tree but it's so pretty!

Our new palm tree addition and new purple plants :)

Currently we have 8 anaheim peppers growing!

Loofa squash - one of 5! This will make luffa sponges!!!

A Day of Flowers

We've been enjoying the rain and the cooler weather the last few days! Tuesday it was 96. Wednesday was 66!! Our grass and garden are soaking up every drop of rain! My hibiscus tree had 13 flowers on it yesterday and there are 16 flowers today!! My Azalea bush bloomed with PINK flowers on it. Some of the cannas are over 5 ft tall. The tomato plant has life again. The peppers on our Anaheim pepper plant are getting huge. We finally figured out what the crazy vine was -Loofah squash, you peel out the insides and make loofah sponges!? We have one huge one and three new ones growing. I did take some pictures but I cannot find the cord to upload them onto the computer. As soon as I find the cord I'll try to upload them.
Tuesday Bobby surprised me with some red roses :D They are
p-e-r-f-e-c-t!!!

On the other side of things our car broke down today. At least it stopped working before Bobby got on the highway. It's at the shop now. We're awaiting the bad news. Bobby got a ride to work, we'll see how he'll get home. Someone did offer to let us use his van over the weekend.

My mom is needing prayer. She's in the hospital trying to get her medicine straightened out.

Thanks!
