update

I have a few minutes which are few and far between and thought I'd write a quick update. Adjustment always takes time but so far things are going well. Bethany Rose is sleeping well most nights in her own bed but the rougher nights she's in bed with me. Her naps have been 3 hours most days :-). I think she's bonding well with me. She loves when I sing to her -I love when she sings to me! She plays "patty-cake patty-cake" all the time as well as "peek-a-boo". I tried "The itsy-bitsy spider" but she went back to "patty-cake patty-cake". She says a few words including "mama" "dada" "bye". She's very attentive and will copy anyone (including J when he gets upset). She's improving on walking every day. K holds her hands and walks around the house with her. D makes silly faces at her and gets her really excited. T likes to give her "bobo" which are "kisses" in creole. J is playing well with her, his only problem is when I'm holding her and I can't pick him up. She is very tickalish! I'm trying to teach her some basic sign language.
I finally picked out all the rubber bands out of her hair. That took a LONG time because the bands were stuck in her hair and she would move all over the place. I washed her hair with all special products I bought for her. The lady at the store told me not to put more rubber bands in her hair, so I put the soft cloth ones in but those came out pretty quickly. I did see some bands that said they wouldn't break the hair so I might try those.
Well I'm off to get some reading done while I have some more time! Thanks for all your prayers and support! We appreciate you all!

What a delightful beginning! I can't wait to meet my newest granddaughter! Here's a great big hug for all of you...and especially Jordan...who I know is wondering about all these changes in his life!
