Pressing Through

Hello all who read these things!
Things are well. Last Wednesday we were able to help out in the Youth Meeting by leading the songs. That was a true blessing especially because Dominic (the Youth Pastor) allowed me to lead on Keyboard. This was my first time to lead on the keys. The night was very encouraging and it seemed as though the teens responded well. There is a lot of brokenness and hurt in the youth ministry. Just hearing some of the testimonies, many kids are going through miserable circumstances. The main issue we see over and over again is the feeling of HOPELESSNESS. Many feel that life is terrible and there is no way to make it better. This is not the case just in the youth but in many lives within the Church as well. I am confident that it is not just here in Austin but all over the nation within the Body of Christ.
If there is hope in you (the hope of Jesus Christ) let it shine out because even just a single word can bring life into a very beaten and depressed person if it is the Word of God. You don't have to speak deep and profound things to encourage. Just declare the very simple things at the time God ordains and you can see people's eyes light up with joy and hope.
We are finding ourselves coming back to the simple reality of Luke 4 where Jesus procaims His mission. The key phrase there is to "bind up the broken hearted". As we encourage others we will also recieve encouragment just in the act of speaking.
Please continue to pray for this small ministry that God has placed upon our hearts. We believe with all our heart we are in the will of God but always need to keep our eyes on Him the Author and Finisher of our faith. Be blessed!
Bobby
